open house

This weekend some of London’s best kept secrets are open to the public. Open House allows you to go inside some of London’s most famous and archiecturally inspiring buildings. I want to go and see The Hoover Building in Perivale [now a Tesco superstore facade] or Angel/City Road tube station which is disused – and I’m sure would make a fantastic restaurant or bar.

back at work

I woke this morning feeling much better and wandered to the doctors to have my check up before coming back into work. I sat therre breezily saying how much better I felt. On the way into work however I decided to have a relapse and coughed for a good few minutes [not good on a train I can tell you] and feel slightly tight chested again. Gah! maybe I should have just asked to be signed off for another week. Rest and plenty of it! Thats what I intend for the coming week.

I now have to wade throug the spam and other mail that has stacked up in my absence and also catch up on a few websites and then actually get back into the real work.

That fireman picture…

I was reminded of the picture of Pete Lindquist which was sent around at the end of last week by the photo on the back page of the Daily Telegraph photo Special/Tribute on Friday. It had the picture below and I couldn’t help thinking mmm…
