Washington DC

So Allan and I have spent the Easter weekend in Washington DC doing the usual tourist sights and staying at the Hyatt. It’s been a lovely weekend and I’ve introduced him to the delights of A&F.
We’ve spent a few nights eating and playing and discovered Lizard Lounge last night which was excellent and made a change from the cowboy hell that was Remingtons.
Just dropped him at the airport and come back to Reston to check into the lovely newly refurbished Hyatt Regency. Work for the rest of the week and then heading back to London for Saturday morning.
It’s been really lovely. Lots of pics which I’ll sort out when I get back.

stupid airlines :(

They would make much more money if people knew how much flights cost. instead of changing the price based on the time of day and if it’s raining.
I know easyjet are notorious for making it more expensive on a flight based on how many tickets had sold – so some people get them cheaper to start and then the last few pay a fortune. I had no idea BA did the same though.
Grrr I posted about eurostar doing the same a while back.
I tell you when I have my airline it will be clearly priced. No need to shop around either. The price you see will be the price you get!

:( poor cube

Last night I got a call from Matt asking me to come home. I returned to a scene of carnage. My glass desk had shattered (reason still unknown) and so what was left was a pile of computer equipment and shards of glass.

The insurance people have decided to send someone from PC World to attempt a repair. I’d laugh if I didn’t find it so worrying. PC World in my experience don’t know their iMac from their eMac or their G3 powerbook from their G4 iBook.
