This was an incredible movie and one I wish I’d seen in the cinema instead of on a plane!
Ewan McGregor acts a transformation from tourist to top man in the field and it’s gripping.
Around the World in 83 Days – Plane Movies – The Nice Guys
Filling time on a plane with limited access to the internet means resorting to the small list of movies they show on the plane. When you have a flight a week during a round the world trip you inevitably end up watching movies you wouldn’t normally pick. The Nice Guys is one of those movies. I wouldn’t normally have watched it even for Ryan Gosling. So it’s no surprise I didn’t get tot he end of this one.
Around the World in 83 Days – Plane Movies – Now You See Me 2
Another flight, another movie.
This time it’s a sequel and as with most sequels it isn’t anywhere near as good as the original.
A watchable movie but I’m glad I saw it on an American Airlines flight and not in a cinema.
Around the World in 83 Days – Plane Movies
So whilst travelling around the world I’ve been on a few planes and caught up with a lot of movies.
Bad Moms
Kind of funny but seriously only worth watching on a plane.
Around the World in 83 Days – Plane Movies – Central Intelligence
So whilst travelling around the world I’ve been on a few planes and caught up with a lot of movies.
Central Intelligence
So this was definitely better than Bad Moms but there is only so much suspension of belief I can muster and how many times can trained CIA agents miss their target?

Oh did I mention I was there? TAB!
Dublin’s hot new rock, indie and pop club
The lovely Daragh invited Andrew and I to RIP opening night which was a blast last night. We started the evening with Conor and Michael at Front Lounge and PantiBar and despite them planning an early night they joined us for the fun at the old button factory in the heart of Temple Bar which was transformed for the evening into a riot of drag rock and indie pop. It’s Dublin’s newest alternative to the mainstream gay clubs and a very welcome change from the George.
There are to be more evenings planned in the future with the next being July 23rd. More info is available from RIP
There is also a blog with info at http://www.rockindiepop.com/blog or you can be added to the guest list via Facebook.
Find RIP on all the usual social networks including Facebook, QueerID.com and Twitter
Dublin
So I’m getting to Dublin more often than I used to and although I love Charlies for some chilli prawns before a night out I’ve now found a great list of late night cafe’s in Dublin which should come in handy for the next time I visit.
Brighton round up
So this year it poured down in Brighton for the annual London-on-Sea Pride. It didn’t dampen our spirits though and we struggled through for a few hours before dragging ourselves back for hot food and some more drinks 🙂
In the evening there were fireworks over the pier too which was great fun.
Oh and a trip to the pier on the Sunday morning is always fun.
